Some of our more popular retreats include:

“Taking Care of ME” Women’s Retreat
Start the year off by taking care of ME.  Spend some gal time leaving behind the old and creating the new.  We’ll make treasure maps, visual representations of our desires for the upcoming year. Seek solutions to challenges by tuning into your intuition.  Gain personal insight through visualizations, meditation, and card readings. There’ll be foot masks to inspire us to walk our talk with pretty feet and activities to remind us of how special we truly are.  This is a time to nurture yourself so you can greet the new year with vigor and a smile.

Colors of the Rainbow

This women’s retreat focuses on how to increase the vibrancy of life through color.  We will eat the colors of the rainbow starting each morning with a fruity green drink that supplies chlorophyll and fiber.  All meals will include nutritious phytonutrients found in foods of various hues.  Recipes and nutrient information will be discussed.  We’ll also explore color therapy as it relates to chakras, aromas, and crystals.

Tea Time 101, the Basics of Sipping and Serving Tea

Topics covered include the history of tea, processing, classification, proper brewing techniques, principles of the Japanese tea ceremony, elements of the English Afternoon Tea, blending and presentation. Students will plan the details for serving their own special-tea on Sunday.  Washing dishes is a very grounding ritual and clean up time is a perfect way to share and reflect.

Caretaking Wabi

In celebration of Earth Day, this weekend is dedicated to caretaking the land.  We’ll be preparing soil, planting trees, clearing trails, turning compost, etc.  This is a good way to learn by doing and give back to nature.  Useful information will abound from everyone there. People should bring coolers and food to add to the pot lucks and fulfill personal needs. The kitchen will be in constant motion and help here is appreciated.  Donations to cover food, port-a-pots, and fire wood costs are greatly appreciated. Everyone should bring their own drinking water.  A big cooler of iced tea and hot coffee will be available to keep that energy revved up.  Night time fire circles are for sharing songs and stories so bring your voices and musical instruments. This is our first Wabi family gathering.  May it generate much peace and love and fun.
